And for the past 12 months, we have been discussing the operational deficiencies we are witnessing and seeing with large scale aggregators and prop tech companies who have underestimated the local complexity of this business.

Behemoths who tried to not only be market disruptors but also destructors, are realizing the hard lesson that no matter how much tech you have at your disposal, real estate is a relationship business driven by people power.

In this week’s highlighted article, we go to Steve Jobs who in his demand for people power driving tech, demanded creativity and innovation in operations.

According to current Apple CEO, Tim Cook,

“When we were running operations, we tried to be innovative in operations and creative in operations, just like we were creative elsewhere. We fundamentally had to be in order to build the products that we were designing.”
