Do Good Day

Do Good Day 2025

Today, we pause our regular business to honor something far greater than ourselves: Do Good Day.

This bi-annual tradition was created to celebrate the life of Laura Schuetze, the sister of Auben’s founder, Tyson. Laura devoted her career as a social worker to serving those most in need, and her spirit of compassion continues to inspire us. After her passing in 2019, we began Do Good Day as a way to carry her legacy forward—closing our doors, giving our team a paid day off, and going out into our communities to give back.

We now honor Laura twice each year: on April 19, the anniversary of her passing, and on her birthday in September. This week’s Do Good Day is especially meaningful, as we celebrate what would have been Laura’s birthday by continuing the work she loved most—helping others.

Do Good Day reminds us that together, small acts of kindness can ripple outward in powerful ways. From serving meals to picking up trash, tutoring students, or helping care for animals, each effort is a reflection of Laura’s heart for others.

Keep the Legacy Alive

We’re grateful to every Auben team member, partner, and friend who takes part in Do Good Day. Laura’s light shines through in each act of kindness performed today.

Please take a few moments to watch this video tribute, hear directly from Tyson and his family about Laura’s life and impact, and let their words inspire you. Then, go out and do something—big or small—that brings a little more humanity into the world.

Special thank you to our team for being part of a company—and a community—that believes in the power of doing good.
