Q: Who was your first business mentor? 

A: Tyson Schuetze

Q: Who was your first mentor in real estate? 

A:  Elizabeth Berkley. She recruited me, and got me into real estate at 22 years old.

Q: What is your favorite book? 

A:  I don’t read much anymore, but growing up I loved Nancy Drew.

Q: What is the best lesson you have learned in real estate? 

A: If you are hard working and have integrity there is no such thing as one deal. All clients are repeat if the process works. Procrastination and avoiding things do not make them go away. There is always a solution it’s a matter of finding it. If you don’t answer the phone someone else will.

Q: How many properties do you own? 

A: Three.

Q: When did you start investing? 

A: When I got my real estate sales license in1993.

Q: Why do you Invest?

A: It’s my business model, therefore I believe in it. To build wealth through real estate and to challenge myself.

Q: What is the best advice you have received?  

A:  Nothing is a crisis.

Q: Do you have a favorite podcast?

A:  I do not listen to podcasts.

Q: Any hobbies?

A: Traveling, music, hot pepper-eating, karaoke, Big Buck Hunter, playing cards, and partaking in libations

Q: What is the best advice you could give someone else? 

A:  Tomorrow is a new day.

Q: Is there a place for you where time slows down? 

A:  Nothing slows down.

Q: If you were a member of a music group, it would be _________?

A:  Jim Morrison and the Doors…minus the dead part. As for a musician that is alive, probably Cardi B.

Q: I was introduced to Auben ______.

A: Five years ago in Kansas City, and I’ve maintained a mentoring relationship where I have grown both personally and professionally since our alliance. Betsey Davis is the most fun “Jam Up,” and Tyson Schuetze is a mentor and guru.

Q: If you weren’t investing in real estate you would be_______.

A:  in Costa Rica.

Q: If you were to start over_______.

A: This all would have been a lot of work. Each year I keep at it, the confidence and success builds. Therefore I wouldn’t.
