Sometimes the brightest stars burn out too soon. For our founder, Tyson Schuetze, his sister Laura was one of those people. She spent her life creating a better world. Her caring and compassion spilled out over everything and everybody she touched. She spent her life caring for others, forgetting how to care for herself.
And then on April 19, 2019, she was gone, leaving a black hole in the lives of all who knew her. Time stood still.
In honor of Laura, Auben closes it’s doors to the public for two days a year (once in honor of Laura’s birthday and one day in honor of her passing) and during this time all Auben/Benebu employees achieve one simple goal: Do Good. Our staff will spend the day giving back to the community through a service project of their choice. From cleaning the marshes to Random Acts of Kindness, each staff member has committed to this day of service. We are thankful for our team’s dedication to community building and support.
We invite you to join us. If your organization would like to get involved and join our efforts in the Augusta, Columbia or Chattanooga areas, please contact Jennifer Valentin.
