Post-Hurricane Helene Update
Hello Everyone,
First and foremost, I want to express my relief and gratitude that our team is safe post-Hurricane Helene. While many of us in Augusta and the CSRA region have experienced significant damage to our homes and personal property, the most important thing is that we are all safe.
I was present during and after the hurricane, and it’s heartbreaking to see this place—one that has grown very close to me over the last year—left in what can only be described as a “war zone.”
That said, I cannot overstate how proud I am of this team. We have a team of gold! Everyone has stepped up in incredible ways, showing a level of support, collaboration, and determination that truly exemplifies our company culture and the caliber of people we have here.
Multiple individuals brought essential supplies such as water, propane, and non-perishable food into town for our team working around the clock. Throughout the week, we’ve received news about the impact on Auben’s Columbia, Greenville, and Tennessee markets. Our thoughts and support are with everyone affected. Fortunately, everyone is safe and accounted for.
Our team has been checking in on all of our residents impacted by the effects of Hurricane Helene and doing whatever we can to provide them the resources they are currently lacking. Our first priority is our senior and disabled residents. We’ve also been driving by to do wellness checks on our other residents and properties and distributing flyers with local relief options, in addition to making calls to residents and owners alike.
If you have not heard from us or seen us yet, know that we are diligently working our way to you.
As an organization, we are fully committed to supporting each other through this challenging time. We have access to a large network of vendors, many of whom have already reached out, offering their services and expertise to help us navigate through this unimaginable situation.
Please know that we are here to provide any assistance or resources needed to help each other recover and rebuild.
Thank you all for your strength and commitment during this time.
Market Leader, Auben Augusta
