Last week was such a great week for Auben Realty’s Kansas City team. There is so much buzz around our market and it was great to get out into the city and talk with investors and the community about opportunities!

We had many team members in town last week, including Tyson Schuetze (Auben’s Founder), to participate in meetings and our events. We had key meetings regarding developing neighborhoods and housing for Kansas City and meetings to discuss bank and private equity funding for these projects.

On Thursday, 9/20 we had our first Investor Focused Networking event at the Harlow in downtown KC. The Auben Team was well represented, as well as strategic partners that included brokerages, title companies, contractors, investors and agents. The space was amazing, and it gave Auben Realty some great exposure and new contacts!

On Friday, 9/21, Auben Realty sponsored a BBQ Contest in Waldo, which is in the heart of Kansas City. We supported St. Elizabeth’s Parish by becoming the stage sponsor and participated in the BBQ contest where our team took 5th in Ribs and 12th overall within 50 teams. I have personally always supported this event and was a Waldo resident for about 5 years. It is great to see Auben continuing this tradition that was started about 8 years ago.

To top off a great week, we found out Monday that we were awarded the management contract for 40 units in Overland Park, KS, which is nationally ranked as one of the best rental markets. More details on this will come, but it is a 40 unit apartment building called Courtyard Apartments, and our team starts next week!
