FEMA Households in designated counties can apply for $750 in relief right now.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved Individual Assistance program help to

Richmond and Columbia counties as well as Appling, Brooks, Coffee, Jefferson, Liberty, Lowndes, Pierce, Tattnall, and Toombs counties in Georgia and

Aiken, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Lexington, Newberry, Oconee, Pickens, Saluda, and Spartanburg counties in SC.

Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the designated areas can begin applying for assistance by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621- 3362 or by using the FEMA App. If you use a relay service, such as video relay service (VRS), captioned telephone service, or others, give FEMA the number for that service. Shelters: Aiken and North Augusta

  • Aiken County has opened a regional Community Shelter in North Augusta for Aiken, Edgefield, and North Augusta residents if needed. The shelter is located at Merriweather Elementary, 565 Springhaven Drive.
  • The North Augusta Family YMCA is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for relief services including showers, charging stations WiFi when available; coffee and, for those who qualify, food bags from Golden Harvest. People should bring their own towels if they’re showering and jugs or containers for taking water home.

FREE Wi-Fi:

Spectrum will offer free, unlimited access to Spectrum Wi-Fi access points, ensuring that residents can maintain communication and access vital information throughout the hurricane’s impact.

Spectrum will make available more than 2,000 Wi-Fi access points across Georgia.

  • FOOD PANTRY:

    • Golden Harvest Food Bank – Auben Community Partner
    • Pop-up food distribution at The Master’s Table soup kitchen located at 702 Fenwick Street at 11:30am in collaboration with Feeding AmericaFood Bank of Northeast Georgia and The Georgia Mountain Food Bank. They will be distributing emergency food items and water while supplies last. We will provide more updated info as it becomes available.
  • HOT MEALS LOCATIONS:

    • Walmart and Tyson Foods drivers will serve meals between noon and 5 p.m. everyday until further notice at the Walmart Supercenter at 260 Bobby Jones Expy. in Augusta.
    • El Ray food truck set up right in front of our Washington Road location and they’re selling plates and if you know any linemen, or you see a linemen doing work, or a police officer or firefighters, send them our way. We’re giving free plates for them. We’re here just trying to do a little bit for our community.

  • Lowe’s in North Augusta will be distributing Ice from their Garden Center
  • Starting at 9 a.m. cases of water will be distributed from Cities of Louisville, Wadley and Wrens:

  • FREE Ice @ the Augusta Municipal Building, 535 Telfair St., starting at 11:30 a..m., while supplies last.
  • Starting @ 10 a.m. – Compass For Hope – shower trailers @ the Riverfront Gymnasium- Can feed 100 to 150 people.
  • The GreenJackets are opening the SRP Park on Tuesday 10/1 to the public – noon to 5 p.m. will be opening the WOW! Club to allow to everyone access to air conditioning, charge your phone. FREE hot dogs & drinks from noon until 2 while supplies last. Also giving out 1 10 pound bags of ice to those that need them while supplies last.
  • Starting @ noon 10/1, the Augusta Fire/EMA will host Operation BBQ and Ice distribution at the Southgate Plaza.
  • Wrens Police Department is handing out water & ice (2 cases per vehicle) at the old Middle School in Wrens.
  • The Salvation Army of Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, & Edgefield Counties starting @ 12:30 p.m. – FREE food to anyone
  • Starting Tuesday the Walmart Supercenter in Augusta at 260 Bobby Jones Expressway will be serving free hot meals from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Koi Hibachi & Sushi will offer free meals for Hurricane Helene recovery – noon to 3 p.m. @ 3847 Washington Rd.

  • Aiken Barnwell Mental Health is providing Crisis Care. Their North Augusta office is open on Martintown Road
  • Public FREE wifi zones @ Zoom office, 681 N Main Street (Wrens) & Jefferson Hospital 1067 Peachtree ST in Louisville
  • The Lennox on 10th Restaurant will provide shelter. Food, water, ice and air conditioning available from 11am – 7 pm
  • The Aiken, North Augusta & Barnwell YMCAs are open for free for showers (bring your own towels, toiletries); water (bring water coolers, jugs, buckets etc.); ice (bring coolers.); shelf-stable foods (limited items); charging stations and Wi-Fi are available from 8 am-5pm. No group classes. Wellness floor is open for members.
  • Fleet Feet North Augusta will fully open 10am – 5pm to charge phones, fill up on water, & use the internet.
  • The Love and Care ECC Special Needs Services will host a cooling and charging station for families that have children with special needs. RSVP online.
  • Showers are available at First Baptist Church in Barnwell at 161 Allen Street in Barnwell, South Carolina. Transportation provided from the shelter to those showers if needed.

The American Red Cross has opened a regional Community Shelter in North Augusta for residents of Aiken, Edgefield and North Augusta. The shelter is at Merriweather Elementary School. 565 Springhaven Dr, North Augusta, SC 29860 ·
 
The New Holland Volunteer Fire Department is also offering non-potable well water for residents who need to flush toilets. It is located on Old Nintysix Indian trail.
